# Bandana Gauge

> A static measuring aid that maps a dog's neck circumference to a tied triangle bandana square.

Bandana Gauge is not a shop and not veterinary advice. It sizes a square folded once on the diagonal, with about 8 inches of long-edge allowance for the knot. Breed pages give typical adult neck ranges as a starting point; the tape on the dog in front of you replaces them.

The five squares on this site are 15, 18, 22, 26, and 30 inches on a side. Pick the smallest square whose long edge (side × √2) covers neck + tie allowance.
